METHOD FOR PRE-START CONTROL OF FUNCTIONING OF FOLLOWER ELECTRIC STEERING DRIVE

A method for pre-start control of functioning of electric steering follower that includes application of electric power supply to electric steering follower with formation of control signal by summation of control signal and signal from steering wheel angular position sensor at inlet of booster of electric steering follower, with registration of current in the winding of electric motor and making decision on suitability of electric steering follower for operation on the basis of measurement results. An electronic key and comparator with symmetrical hysteresis loop of switch are additionally included to the system. One sets angular position ofcaging of steering wheels of electric follower at which in electric steering follower torque results that corresponds to the torque on steering wheel at flight. One forms auto-oscillation mode of caged electric steering follower. Making decision on suitability of electric steering follower is performed as result of comparison of switching frequency of comparator corresponding to frequency of current auto-oscillations in the winding of electric motor with pre-set frequency.
