Zusammenfassung: | A method for obtaining of high purity titanium involves combination in one apparatus- reactor of the process of magnesium-thermal reduction of titanium tetrachloride with obtaining of titanic sponge, subsequent introduction into the reactor of the additional portion of titanium tetrachloride for chlorination of part of obtained titanic sponge to the lower titanium chlorides and electrolytic refining of titanic sponge. The process of reduction is carried out in the reaction chamber, which is immersed into the molten magnesium in such way, that its inner walls are periodically moistened with magnesium and on them a layer of spongy titanium is formed of the thickness of 0.2-0.3 of the diameter of the reaction chamber. And during the electrolytic refining into the center of the reaction chamber and spongy layer the cathode of diameter 0.1-0.2 of the reaction chamber diameter, direct current is supplied, at that the reaction chamber and sponge, which is obtained during the reduction serve as anode. |
