Zusammenfassung:	The method for histological diagnosis of the state of glomus system in the terminal villi of placenta at the area of transition into the anchoring microvilli comprises the assessment of the ball-shaped nuclei in epithelioid and smooth muscle cells in different projections of the histological sections in the middle layer of the arterial walls continuing as the glomerular sinusoid capillaries where the biologically active substances are released into the synaptoid fissure of the nerve sleeves. These structures provide for neuroglomular homeostasis by directing the enriched maternal blood from the placental bed to the transcapillary membranes of the terminal villi improving microcirculation in the tissues of fetus and preventing the damage caused by lipid peroxidation to the membranes of the placental barrier.
