METHOD FOR ASSESSING PSYCHOLOGICAL DERANGEMENTS IN PATIENTS WITH PROSTATITIS

The method for assessing the psychological derangements in the patients with prostatitis comprises the anamnesis, the objective urological examination, and the use of the questionnaire. The scale for the assessment of the psychological derangements is proposed containing the questions pertaining to 14 parameters. The following factors are accounted for in the questionnaire: the psychosexual factors (Questions 1-4), the psychosomatic factors (Questions 5-7), the psychosocial factors (Questions 8-10), and psychoneurological factors (Questions 11-14). Five variants of the answer are proposed for each question with the scores from 1 to 5 depending on the intensity of the negative manifestations. The sum from 43 to 56 points suggests the moderate psychological derangements in the patients with prostatitis, while the sum from 57 to 70 points suggests the severe psychological derangements.
