Zusammenfassung:	The proposed method for raising the capacity of hens to lay eggs and quality of eggs is distinctive by using, as feed for the hens, standard complete feed with biologically active and mineral additives, in which animal components are replaced with meal obtained from grain with high content of proteins. As the said grain, amaranth grain is used. The amaranth meal is added to the complete feed in an amount of 15 à 35 % within the period of egg-laying.
