Zusammenfassung:	The proposed method for measuring the refraction index of liquid consists in placing the liquid to be tested in a transparent cuvette, which is made of material with the known refraction index, exposing the cuvette to a light beam, determining the position of the light beam at the boundary surface between the cuvette wall and the liquid under complete internal reflection. To illuminate the cuvette, a homocentric light beam is used that is directed at an angle to the cuvette wall. The refraction index is determined by the distance between the boundary of the light-to-dark transition zone and the reference plane.
