METHOD FOR APPLYING "REINFORCED" INTESTINAL ANASTOMOSIS UPON RESECTION OF NECROTIZED SMALL INTESTINE IN PATIENTS WITH ACUTE ILEUS

The method for applying the intestinal anastomosis upon the resection of the necrotized small intestine in the patients with the acute ileus comprises the resection of the necrotized segment of the small intestine, the generation of the stump of the afferent and efferent segments, the application of the serous-serous sutures between the afferent and efferent segments between the afferent and efferent segments. Then the afferent and efferent segments are dissected followed by the generation of the posterior lip of the anastomosis with the aid of uninterrupted or interrupted catgut sutures. Then the anterior lip of the anastomosis is tailored in the reverse order. The "reinforced" suture is enclosed within uninterrupted or interrupted vicryl suture. Both "reinforced" ligatures are tied up in the course of tailoring anterior and posterior lips of the anastomosis providing for the leak-proof anastomosis.
