Zusammenfassung:	A method for determination of quality of cotton fiber provides for differentiation of fiber to groups in yarn, this is performed by interference coloring of fiber depending on the level of maturity be means of compensation plate to microscope. One calculated content, in percent, of fiber in yarn of each group with determination of weighted average of coefficient of cotton fiber maturity. Differentiation of cotton fiber in yarn is performed to nine groups by the most prominent interferential coloring of fiber in different spectral regions of compensation plate with different path difference as that one uses quarts wedge to microscope with amplification 360 times.
