OPTICAL LEVEL TRANSDUCER FOR LIQUID

The proposed optical level transducer for liquid contains a rocker with a float, fiber lightguides, an optical radiation source, photodetectors, a signal processor, a displaying unit, and an interface. The float is installed at one of the arms of the rocker. The fiber lightguides are arranged in a tube that is installed at the other arm of the rocker. The tube is filled with liquid having the refractive index that exceeds that of the material of the fiber lightguides. Each fiber lightguide is coupled with the optical radiation source, on one side, and with the corresponding photodetector on the other side. The outputs of the photodetectors are connected to the corresponding inputs of the signal processor. The interface is designed for communication between the signal processor, external devices, and the displaying unit.
