Zusammenfassung:The proposed method for determining the concentration of electrons in the ionosphere at its maximal ionization consists in transmitting two coherent radio pulses, which differ by the radiation wavelength, receiving the signals that are reflected in the ionosphere, modulating received signals by a modulating signal with intermediate frequency, delaying one of the received signals by a time interval that is equal to the interval between the radio pulses, applying the signals to the inputs of quadrature synchronous detectors, determining the quadrature components of the cross-correlation function of two signals and the autocorrelation function of the envelope of the signal that corresponds to incoherent reflected radiation, and determining the module of the correlation coefficient for two signals. The data so obtained are used to determine the average concentration of electrons.
