A device for sealing and strengthening a pipeline intended for repair of operating pipelines, in particular for sealing those and strengthening to prevent or remove leakage. The invention is based on the problem of improvement of a device for sealing and strengthening a pipeline on basis of possibility of control of force of squeezing the pipeline with metal strip with protector pad with provision at that of uniformity of squeezing and increase of reliability of the units of the strip clipping, and protection of the surface of the pipeline against corrosion. The problem set forth is solved due to the fact that in the device for sealing and strengthening a pipeline that includes a flexible metal strip with soft pad and hinge unit of the strip, according to the invention, mechanism of tension of the strip is arranged as stator and rotor between which separator of roller bearing with lead is installed, and the ends of the rotor look like hexahedral toothed surfaces between which rollers are placed, those at motion of separator move till fixation of the rotor, and at the ends of the rotor openings are provided for dynamometric wrenches that serve for forced rotation of the rotor and control of torque. Besides that for uniform squeezing between the metal strip and the pad in zones of tension of the strip and the hinge unit steel pads with variable thickness are installed, those surround the pipeline by angle close to 90°. Application of the pad made of material with protective properties, at that use of magnesium, aluminum, zinc is proposed, provides electrochemical protection of the pipeline against corrosion. Protector pad being in contact with the steel construction of the pipeline forms a galvanic element in which on the surface of the pipeline reduction reaction takes place, and on the protector - reaction of oxidation. As result of that the steel pipeline is protected against corrosion. Soft protector pad at large forces of squeezing of the surface of pipeline tightly fills its roughness at micro-level.
