Zusammenfassung:	A horizontal light emitting diode includes a substrate, a first semiconductor layer, a light emitting layer, a second semiconductor layer, a first electrode and a second electrode. The first semiconductor layer is disposed on the substrate. The light emitting layer is disposed on the first semiconductor layer and exposes a portion of the first semiconductor layer. The second semiconductor layer is disposed on the light emitting layer. The first electrode is disposed on the exposed portion of the first semiconductor layer. The second electrode is disposed on the second semiconductor layer. The top surfaces of the first and second electrodes have substantial same height.
