Zusammenfassung:	A sheet feeding mechanism includes a pickup roller for driving a recording material to a first path, and a switch device. When the switch device is switched to a first position, the recording material proceeds from the first path to a second path or proceeds from a third path to a fourth path. When the switch device is switched to a second position, the recording material proceeds from the first path to the third path. The sheet feeding mechanism further includes a gear set for driving the recording material from the first path to the third path when the switch device is switched to the second position and for driving the recording material from the first path to the second path or from the third path to the fourth path and from the fourth path to the first path when the switch device is switched to the first position. With the switch device and the gear set, a printer allows a plurality of recording materials to proceed in the paper paths at the same time when performing duplex printing.
