The present disclosure is a washing apparatus (40) attached to the interior of a washing/spinning tank (25). The washing apparatus (40) comprises: a substantially circular or polygonal-ring-shaped peripheral part (11); a connection part (12) that is water-permeable and is provided on the inner side of the peripheral part (11); a movable body (13) provided in approximately the center of the connection part (12), the movable body (13) generating buoyancy; and a lid (14) provided so as to openably cover the top of the movable body (13). The lid (14) can thereby suppress damage to to-be-washed clothing (17) placed on the movable body (13) caused by the to-be-washed clothing (17) flying out of the washing apparatus (40) due to the vertical action of the moving body (13), or adhering to or contacting the washing/spinning tank (25).
