Zusammenfassung:	Provided are: a resin composition that is for protecting a polarizer, that has excellent adhesion to a polarizer, and that can prevent defects such as fading of color from an edge and red fading; and a polarizing plate provided with a protective layer formed from said resin composition. The resin composition for protecting a polarizer according to the present invention contains (A) a resin having a weight-average molecular weight of 3000 or more and having at least one epoxy group, and (B) a compound having, in the molecule, a boronate group and at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of -NH2, -NHR, and -NRR' (R and R' each represent a methyl group or an ethyl group, and R and R' may be the same or different from each other). This resin composition for protecting a polarizer contains 0.3-5 parts by weight of the compound (B) with respect to 100 parts by weight of the resin (A).
