Zusammenfassung:Provided is a biaxially oriented thermoplastic resin film, at least one surface of which satisfies the following conditions (1) and (2), and that has suitable smoothness and windability. (1) When the projection density for projections with a height of 10 nm or greater as measured by non-contact optical roughness measurement is denoted by A (projections/mm2), A is 2.0×103 to 2.5×104. (2) When the projection density for projections with a height of 1 nm or greater but less than 10 nm as measured by atomic force microscopy (AFM) is denoted by B (projections/mm2), B is 1.8×106 to 1.0×107.
