Zusammenfassung:	An electronic device and a method for processing underwriting information are provided. The method includes the following steps: receiving a financial document and a financial notification letter through an input and output device; executing an OCR module to obtain a financial document category using the financial document; using the financial document category to obtain a financial document estimated amount of the financial document; and using the financial document estimated amount and the financial notification letter to generate underwriting information, and display the underwriting information through the input and output device.
