Positioning system and positioning method for aerial image

A positioning system and a positioning method for an aerial image are provided. The positioning method includes: receiving a first aerial image and a second aerial image; performing a first object detection to obtain a first bounding box (BB) in the first aerial image and a second BB in the second aerial image; determining whether the first BB matches the second BB; in response to the first BB matching the second BB, stitching the first aerial image and the second aerial image based on the first BB and the second BB to generate a stitched image; combining the stitched image to an electronic map to update the electronic map; performing a second object detection on the updated electronic device to obtain a target BB; and outputting location information associated with the target BB.
