Zusammenfassung:	A door opening and closing device 2 comprises: an upper rail 40 that guides an upper end side of a sliding door panel 30 in the door width direction; a drive mechanism 50 that slides the sliding door panel in the door width direction; a reception unit 34 connected to a control unit 55 that controls the drive mechanism; an operation unit 16 that receives an operation for sliding the sliding door panel; and a transmission unit 19 located on one side in the door thickness direction, and which wirelessly transmits an operation signal from the operation unit to the reception unit. The upper rail is provided with a holding unit 45 that enables the reception unit to be selectively attached to either side of the upper rail in the door thickness direction, and holds the reception unit.
