CAN BUS SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY DISTRIBUTING NODE NUMBER

A method for automatically distributing a node number is disclosed. The method is applied by a control area network (CAN) bus system having a host and multiple modules connected in parallel through a communication pin and a module enable (ME) pin and includes: setting the ME pin by the host for the multiple modules entering a node-number distribution mode or a normal communication mode; in the node-number distribution mode, distributing a node number by the host to one of the modules having a communication authority, and notifying the module with the communication authority by the host to release the communication authority to a next module which is connected; and in the normal communication mode, the multiple modules performing a node-number confirmation procedure.
