Zusammenfassung:	Rotary hearth furnace and remodeling method of a rotary hearth furnace are provided. On the basis of using a regenerative burner, effect of saving energy is fully achieved, and meanwhile temperature distribution of the furnace is uniform by improving stirring effect of gas in the furnace; and arrangement space of the burner is increased by means of a top, so that available number of the burner isincreased to achieve a higher combustion quantity. In a rotary hearth furnace (1) provided with a rotary bottom (2) in a furnace F formed by at least a top portion (6) and a cylindrical outer peripheral wall portion (5), a regenerative top burner (7) is arranged on the top, wherein a burner nozzle is towards the interior of the hearth. regenerative periphery burner nozzles (8) are arranged on theperiphery of the furnace in the direction that the burner nozzles are towards the interior of the hearth along the tangential direction of the perphery wall, thus achieving turning combustion with thetop burner.
