Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a coin processing machine.SOLUTION: A coin checking device 10a to be applied to a coin processing machine 1 that stores input coins according to denomination and dispenses stored coins in accordance with a payment instruction includes: a to-be-checked coin transport part 20 that transports input coins in one direction in a sideways fallen attitude; and a discriminating part 50 that discriminates the authenticity and denomination of the input coins transported in one direction by the to-be-checked coin transport part 20. The to-be-checked coin transport part 20 transports a coin discriminated as a counterfeit coin by the discriminating part 50 in the other direction opposite to the one direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
