The protein source of the nutritional composition includes whey proteins and whey peptides. The ratio of weight of the whey proteins and whey peptides combined to the total weight of the protein source in the nutritional composition is at least 80% by weight. The protein-to-energy ratio of the nutritional composition is at least 16% and less than 50%. The nutritional composition is acidic. The nutritional composition has a calorie density of at least 100 kcal/100 ml.
