A control method of a portable electronic device is provided. The method includes: entering a follow mode, and executing the user's identity verification action according to a verification command; and obtaining a first image of the user according to the identity verification action, and setting the user as a follow-up target according to the first image and executes the follow-up action. The details of performing the follow-up action include: continuously obtaining a plurality of second images including the user in time sequence, so as to obtain a plurality of feature vector information related to the image characteristics of the user in time sequence according to the image information of the plurality of second images and the deep learning model; and determining the location of the user according to the plurality of feature vector information to follow.
