Zusammenfassung:	Provided is a method that makes it possible to simply and inexpensively produce a polarizer in which changes in color in high-temperature environments are minimized. This polarizer production method includes at least stretching and dyeing of a polyvinyl alcohol resin film. The production method also includes applying or spraying a treatment liquid on the polyvinyl alcohol resin film after the dyeing thereof. The treatment liquid has a pH in the range of 3-8, and the treatment liquid has a buffering effect in this pH range.
