Zusammenfassung:	An object of the invention is to reduce the power consumption required for an operation of a stacker crane. When the maximum peak period of the electric power consumed by a traveling motor and the maximum peak period of the electric power consumed by an elevating motor overlap under a standard control rule, the driving modes of the traveling motor and the elevating motor is determined according toa power saving control rule. Under the power saving control rule, the upper limit speeds of the traveling motor and the elevating motor are set to be lower than the upper limit speed under the standard control rule.
