To provide a connector which enables locking and unlocking without using elastic deformation of a member.SOLUTION: A lock member 30 comprises a first extension part 31, a second extension part 32 and a rotation shaft 33, in which the second extension part 32 is provided with a latch 35 for engaging with another member and the first extension part 31 and the second extension part 32 are connected to each other through the rotation shaft 33, and which is mounted to a housing 10 with the rotation shaft 33 as a rotation center. A release member 40 is provided so as to be relatively movable with respect to the housing 10. An optical connector 100 selectively switches between a lock state and an unlock state by relatively moving the release member 40 with respect to the housing 10 and thereby rotating the first extension part 31 and the second extension part 32 with the rotation shaft 33 as a rotation center so as to move the latch 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
