Disclosed is an electric vacuum cleaner comprising: a cleaner body having a controller controlling an electric air blower and an operation of the electric air blower; and a plurality of absorption groove bodies being selectively connected to communicate with an absorption side of the electric air blower, wherein the selectively connected absorption groove bodies comprise an absorption groove body for floor cleaning, and an absorption groove body for blanket cleaning which are appropriate for cleaning a blanket in comparison with the absorption groove body for floor cleaning, wherein, when the absorption groove body for blanket cleaning is connected, the controller sets the electric air blower to a lower pressure than the one when other absorption groove bodies are connected. Accordingly, the present invention provides an electric vacuum cleaner with an improved cleaning performance when an absorption groove body is connected thereto.
