[Object] Disclosed is a lid opening device with which a fluid material rarely remains inside a can. [Solution] The present invention comprises a holding section which holds a can in which a fluid material is sealed, and a piercing member for delivery which pierces part of a lid plate at the lower side of the can with one side facing downward. The holding section comprises a valley-shaped supporting section which supports one out of four corner sections which form a cylindrical body of the can at a position lower than positions of the other corner sections with the can being tilted downward toward one side in a longitudinal direction. The piercing member for delivery is configured to have a cylindrical shape. The piercing member for delivery comprises an edge for piercing at one end, which pierces the part of the lid plate at the lower side to be inserted into the can; an internal passage through which the fluid material flowing from the edge for piercing into the piercing member for delivery is sent out of th
