PURPOSE: A system interconnection inverter device and a control method thereof are provided to prevent a rush current from flowing in a condenser for a filter by maintaining the output current of an inverter circuit as zero. CONSTITUTION: An inverter circuit(2) is connected to a DC power source(1). The inverter circuit is connected to a power system through a serial circuit and a switch circuit. The serial circuit is comprised of a current limit resistor(7) and a first switch(8). The switch circuit is comprised of a second switch(6). The second switch is connected in parallel to the serial circuit. A condenser(5) for a filter is arranged between the inverter circuit and the switch circuit. A control circuit controls the inverter circuit to maintain the output current of the inverter circuit as zero.
