Zusammenfassung:This invention relates to a complex-frequency power supply device and method for electrical-discharge machining, which includes electrode signal converter that is connected to the electrode of the machining unit, a complex-frequency generating circuit for generating high-frequency signal, and an arc-on clock circuit and an arc-off clock circuit for controlling the starting time of the arc-discharging. During the electrical-discharge machining process, the electrode signal converter controls the outputs of the arc-on clock circuit and arc-off clock circuit according to the voltage level of the electrode signal so as to control the starting time of arc-discharging and the stopping time of the arc-discharging; and during the arc-discharging period, the complex-frequency generating circuit will output complex-frequency signal to the power supply of the machining unit so as to control the power supply to output intermittent arcs in order to avoid applying an arc on the workpiece continuously, and thus improve machining speed and surface fineness of the workpiece.
