The invention provides a toothbrush equipped with a voice function that provides a refreshing feeling and an interest to a user and encourages an infant. The toothbrush equipped with the voice function includes a handle part (1A) containing a sound generating device (40), a toothbrush part (1B), and a contact type switching mechanism which comprises a toothbrush part receiving part (7) receiving an end part of the toothbrush part (1B), supported by the handle part through an elastic member (8), and having the end moving in the handle to correspond to teeth bushing movements, a ring-shaped, fixed contact terminal (102A) provided on an inner wall of the handle, and a movable contact terminal (102B) provided on the end part of the toothbrush part receiving part. The sound generating device (40) is constituted to control to generate a voice message or a melody by following the movements of the contact type switching mechanism.
