Zusammenfassung:	To provide a chip breaker designed to surely break chips generated during cutting by means of an annular cutter. The chip breaker has a face 26, which confronts the upstream side in the revolving direction of the annular cutter, and extends from an edge 24 adjacent to the external circumference surface of the annular cutter to the exterior side in the radius direction of the annular cutter. The face is inclined from the first terminal portion 27, where edges are located with minor gaps from the external circumference face of the annular cutter, toward the second terminal portion 28, whose distance from the external circumference face of the annular cutter is greater than that of the first terminal portion.
