Zusammenfassung: | In the invented illuminating apparatus, a light source unit is disposed at the end face portion of the light guider and the emitted light from the light source unit is guided from the end face portion of the light guider into the interior of the light guider so as to make the light guider capable of conducting light emission. Between the light guider and the light source unit, an air layer, whose thickness is larger than one wavelength of the light emitted from the light source unit and is smaller than one half of the light guide thickness, is disposed. The light, which is emitted from an angle larger than the total reflection angle, is totally reflected by the emitting face of the light source unit and is re-emitted after returning inside the light source unit. The light, which is emitted from an angle smaller than the total reflection angle, is expanded to a range from -90 DEG to +90 DEG and reaches the entire end face of the light guide. The light entering inside the light guider is totally reflected by the side face of the light guider and propagates inside the light guider. |
