Age-hardenable copper-alloy as material for produce casting molds

This invention relates to an age-hardenable copper-alloy composed of-expressed respectively in weight-percent-04% to maximal 2% cobalt, which can be partly replaced by nickel, 0.1% to 0.5% Be, selectively 0.03% to 0.5% Zr, 0.005% to 0.1% Mg and (if necessary) maximal 0.15% at least one element from...

Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:This invention relates to an age-hardenable copper-alloy composed of-expressed respectively in weight-percent-04% to maximal 2% cobalt, which can be partly replaced by nickel, 0.1% to 0.5% Be, selectively 0.03% to 0.5% Zr, 0.005% to 0.1% Mg and (if necessary) maximal 0.15% at least one element from the group including Nb, Mn, Ta, Va, Ti, Cr, Ce and Hf. The rest forms copper including process-dependent contaminations and general processing-additives. The copper-alloy is used as the material to produce casting molds, especially for the mantle of the casting drums as the component of a two-drums casting equipment.
