Sealing device for electrical plug connectors

The invention provides a sealing device for electrical plug connectors (11) which is designed to make it possible to produce functionally reliable plug connectors (11) in a technically simple manner and at low costs. The plug connectors (11) comprise one contact carrier (14) in one plug housing (13). The contact carrier (14) is penetrated by reception chambers (16) that lead with one of their ends to a trough-shaped mounting space (21) of the plug connector (11). The ends are covered by a retaining element (22) so that a flowable thermosetting sealing mass (23) introduced into the mounting space (21) and completely sealing the contact elements (28) put through remains in the mounting space (21). The sealing device (24) for electrical plug connectors (11) is especially suitable for use in the automotive industry.
