Body cover attachment structure of scooter type vehicle

The present invention provides a body cover structure that is easily detached from and attached to a scooter-type vehicle while making it difficult for pranksters to take off. In the simple structure of the present invention, a flange portion 95 is provided in an opening edge of a housing box 10 to which a seat is attached whereby its upper end surface is made flat with a slot 96 formed in an appropriate location. A flat portion 93, which is formed substantially horizontal with an upper edge portion of a left rear cover 18 that is curved to the inside, is placed on the flange portion 95 such that a protruding portion 94 engages vertically with the slot 96 in a downward direction so as to be integrated therewith. Then, the seat is closed and the flat portion 93 is covered by a peripheral edge portion 100 of a seat under cover 16 which constitutes a part of the seat such that when the seat is locked, the left rear cover 18 is not able to be taken off. Also, when the seat is opened it is possible to easily take the left rear cover 18 off just by sliding it upward.
