Zusammenfassung: | This invention relates to a method to operate a discharge-lamp, which has at least one dielectric prevented electrodes (2, 3), a reverse converter applies periodic repeated voltage-impulses to the discharge-lamp (La1). If the discharge-lamp (La1) has an ignition-auxiliary (10), the voltage-amplitude (Us) of the voltage-impulses is successively increased, until a dielectric prevented discharge in the discharge-lamp is formed and until the voltage-amplitude (Us) has attained the rated-operation voltage. If the discharge-lamp (La1) has no ignition-auxiliary, in the discharge-lamp (La1) at 1st discharge is ignited, which results in a partial ionization of the discharge-mediums. Directly after the 1st discharge is again brought to extinction, a dielectric prevented discharge is ignited again and the voltage-amplitude (Us) of the voltage-impulse is increased widely, until the rated-operation-voltage of the discharge-lamp (La1) is arrived. |
