Zusammenfassung: | Displays (1) of this kind typically include a planar base substrate (2) of glass to which a planar layer body is applied. This layer body includes a transparent electrode layer (3) which is deposited directly onto the glass base substrate (2), an external metallic electrode layer (5) and a layer (4) which is disposed therebetween and contains organic luminescent material and which emits light when a voltage is applied to the electrode layers. An unpolished low alkali glass, for example, a borosilicate glass is used to reduce the roughness of the glass base substrate (2) and therefore to make more uniform the transparent electrode layer (3) spun thereon. With this measure, the occurrence of pixel defects from short circuits or excessive field strengths is avoided. |
