Electric power converter system and elevator control system using said electric power converter system

An electric power converter control system and an elevator control system using said electric power converter control system comprising a converter connected to a system electric power source; a smoothing capacitor for smoothing an output direct current electric power of the converter; a PWM inverter for converting the direct current electric power of the smoothing capacitor to a variable voltage variable frequency alternating electric power; and a motor, supplied with an electric power from the inverter, for driving an elevator; which further comprises a solar battery; a large-capacitance electric power capacitor having a capacitance larger than several Faradays and capable of storing instantaneous output power generated in the solar battery; and an output voltage adjusting means for adjusting an output voltage of the capacitor; wherein generated electric power of the solar battery is input to the smoothing capacitor, and the energy generated in the solar battery can be used as energy to operate the elevator and the surplus energy can be automatically returned to the commercial electric power source side.
