Zusammenfassung: | A process useful for the production of monoalkylated benzene, comprising: contacting benzene with an olefin of from 8 to 30 carbons in the presence of a catalyst consisting essentially of fluorine-containing mordenite under conditions such that monoalkylated benzene is formed; wherein the mordenite has been treated by contacting mordenite with an aqueous hydrogen fluoride solution at a temperature of from 0 EDG C to 50 DEG C, wherein the fluorine-containing mordenite has a silica to alumina molar ratio in a range from 10:1 to 100:1 and the hydrogen fluoride in the aqueous solution has a concentration in the range from 0.1 to 1 percent by weight. |
