Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides a semiconductor integrated circuit, which comprises at least one first semiconductor circuit (10) operable based on at least one first clock signal (20), at least one second semiconductor circuit (50) operable to assist the first semiconductor circuit (10) upon request therefrom based on at least one second clock signal (92) independent of the first clock signal (20), wherein the second semiconductor circuit (50) comprises means (51) for stopping the second clock signal (92) as required. The operation of the second semiconductor circuit (50) can be stopped by stopping the second clock signal (92).
