Opto-electronic sensor element

The invention relates to an opto-electronic sensor component with a first semi-conducting layer with predetermined conducting type and a second layer of a different semi-conducting or metal conducting type, a transition area between the two layers, at least one surface area through which the electromagnetic radiation to be detected can penetrate into the transition area (surface area on the radiation side) and an electrode each for connecting the two layers to an electric circuit. The electrodes (10, 11) of the two layers (2, 3) are mounted on a surface (7) of the component (1) which lies opposite a surface area (6) on the radiation side. This makes it easier to connect the sensor component to an electric circuit mounted on a conductor plate or the like.
