Zusammenfassung: | While utilizing potassium chloride, to develop a novel salty taste enhancer that can be combined with potassium chloride. The present inventors found that the salty taste of a food or drink can be easily enhanced by adding thereto Peru balsam essential oil together with potassium chloride. It is preferable to further contain an amino acid and/or a hydrochloric acid salt thereof. The amino acid is preferably a basic amino acid, particularly preferably arginine or lysine. Further, it is also preferable to contain an acidulant. Also, a method for producing a food or drink and a salty taste-enhancing method both using the abovementioned method can be provided. |
