A method for adjusting a shooting direction, which is suitable for a camera device having a lens, a motor assembly and a processor, wherein the lens faces an initial position, and the method includes: performing an information collection procedure by the processor, wherein the information collection program includes: controlling the rotation axis of the motor assembly to rotate in a first direction, controlling the lens to capture a first image at a first time point and capture a second image at a second time point later than the first time point during the rotation; and computing a different degree between the first image and the second image; if the difference degree is less than the threshold, performing a check procedure to determine whether the first lens reset program needs to be performed; if the first lens reset procedure needs to be performed, performing the first lens reset program the processor so that the lens faces the specified position.
