Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides a novel repellent containing a liquid repellent compound that can impart liquid repellency to a substrate (for example, fiber, paper), wherein the liquid-repellent compound has an amine skeleton and one or more long-chain hydrocarbon-containing groups represented by the following formula: -X-Rn [in the formula, each symbol has the same meaning as described in the specification], and at least one of the long-chain hydrocarbon-containing groups is bonded to a nitrogen atom of the amine skeleton.
