Saliva collection method and saliva collection member and method for determining absence/presence of bleeding and method for determining progress state of periodontal disease

Provided is a determination method with which it is possible to find a saliva collection member achieving simple and noninvasive collection, and by simply subjecting the collection member after saliva collection to centrifugal separation without any special treatment, occult blood in saliva can be determined and inflammatory-inducing lactoferrin polypeptide concentration in the saliva can be measured, enabling disease state classification of a periodontal disease in humans and animals.
