Provided is an operation device, such as a mouse or a keyboard, capable of outputting, as an operation sound, a sound according to an external situation. An operation device 1 comprises a pressing operation unit 11 that receives an input operation from an operator. The operation device 1 comprises a sound input unit 13, such as a microphone, which receives an input of an external sound, and a sound output unit 14, such as a speaker, which outputs a sound. The operation device 1 performs control, when the pressing operation unit 11 has received an input operation, so as to cause the sound output unit 14 to output, as a click sound, a sound based on the external sound received by the sound input unit 13.
