Zusammenfassung:	A power management method adapted to an electronic device is electrically coupled to an adapter and having a system and a battery. The adapter has an output power, and the battery has a discharge power. The power management method comprises the steps of reading a power value of the battery; determining a state of the system; and when the system is in a working state and the power value is greater than a predetermined value, using the battery to supply power to the system and controlling the adapter to selectively supply power to the system based on the output power and the discharge power. An electronic device using the power management method is also provided.
