Zusammenfassung:	The present invention pertains to: a silsesquioxane derivative which is represented by formula (1) and which, when being cured, can provide a cured product having an elastic modulus exceeding 4.0 GPa at 23 DEG C; a method for producing the silsesquioxane derivative; a curable composition containing said silsesquioxane derivative and a polymerization initiator; a hard coat agent containing the curable composition; a cured product obtained by curing the curable composition; a hard coat obtained by curing the hard coat agent; and a base material comprising the hard coat. In formula (1), at least one of u and v represents a positive number.
